Captain Karnal Sher Khan, remembering the hero of 5th July

22 years ago Captain Karnal Sher Khan embraced martyrdom defending Pakistan against India in the Kargil war.

Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar took to Twitter in order to pay tribute to the Kargil-super hero in order to commend his services to the country.

He tweeted “Nation venerates Capt. Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider) on 22nd Martyrdom Anniversary. Kargil war hero from Sawabi, KPK, wrote history with his blood displaying utmost valor, commitment & unwavering allegiance to defend the country against all odds”.

Moreover, he added that ”we are proud of him”.

During the Kargil war, Captain Karnal Sher Khan played a pivotal role and fought gallanty against the forces of the enemy.

To oblige his services, he was awarded Pakistan’s highest military honour, Nishan-e- Haider.
