Naseem Vicky’s Sorry Baba to release On Eid

Popular comedian Naseem Vicky is all set to make his directorial debut with an all out comedy titled Sorry Baba. Earlier we broke the news that Javed Sheikh has been finalized for a major role in the film. Earlier it was revealed that the gorgeous Baaji actress Amna Ilyas is in talks for role of leading lady. However nothing has been finalized. We will be bringing more news about the cast of the film soon. Comedy genre is always a good bet at the boxoffice and Naseem Vicky is one of the top comedians in Pakistan. At the same time, Eid is always the most lucrative time to release a film and every year we see multiple films releasing on Eids. Year 2020 hasn’t even started yet but there are already announcements of multiple films re
leasing on both Eids. Fahad Mustafa and Mahira Khan starrer “Quaid e Azam Zindabaaad” is announced for Eid ul Alzha. Whereas Sami Khan starrer horror comedy “Lafangey” directed by Abdull Khaaliq Khan is announced for Eid ul Fitr. Furthermore, we recently revealed exclusively that Sarmad Khoosat’s Kamli distributed by IMGC is also releasing on Eid-ul-Fitr. Now credible sources have informed Epk that the distributor IMGC is planning to release Sorry Baba on Eid ul Fitr too. Even though the film is still in the casting phase, the distributor IMGC is sorting out their release slots for next year and they are aiming to release the film on Eid. This will be the second title of IMGC after Kamli to release on Eid-ul-fitr. Produced by Kamran Ejaz and Amjad Rasheed, Sorry Baba will be distributed by IMGC. In 2018, IMGC had released two titles on Eidul-Fitr i.e. Mahira Khan starrer 7 Din Mohabbat In and Danish Taimoor starrer Wajood. Similarly for year 2020 it looks like IMGC will be bringing two titles. Kamli is their most ambitious project by IMGC whereas Sorry Baba is an all out comedy which goes with the festival release. Both being distributed and co-produced by IMGC. here is no official confirmation on this yet but if film releases on Eid-ul-fitr it will be a good option for cine goers as comedy films always have a massive footfall during holidays seasons.
